He was born in 1988 in Izmir. After completing his education at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine, he did his internship in various clinics in Germany, Brazil and Poland. He spent the last period of his education at the Berlin Unfalkrankenhaus with Dr.Bernd Hartman and She worked with Dr. Andreas Eisenscheck at the Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery Clinic and Microsurgery and the Hand Cosmetic Clinic.

He received his specialty education in the field of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. He worked with Takumi Yamamoto on lymphedema, super microsurgery and reconstruction of complex defects. He completed advanced microsurgery fellowship training with Hung Chi Chen and increased experience in the reconstruction of head and neck defects.

Dr. Mehmet Cömert is fluent in German and English. His areas of interest include; facial rejuvenation, periorbital surgery, orthognathic and facial bone shaping operations, cosmetic and reconstructive breast operations, reconstructive microsurgery.
